Delete Access Point Name (APN) auf OnePlus
An Access Point Name tells your OnePlus phone how to connect to your carrier's mobile network. If a wrong APN was added manually, or an old one survived a provider switch, OxygenOS may try to use it instead of the correct profile. The result is often no mobile data, failed MMS, or a connection that drops in and out.
Deleting the faulty entry forces the phone to fall back on the correct APN, either the carrier's default or a new one you add afterward. This does not affect Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or your SIM PIN settings, since APN data only controls the mobile data path.
Menu path to delete an APN
Open Settings ➔ Wi-Fi & network ➔ SIM & network ➔ choose the SIM card in question ➔ Access Point Names. Tap the APN you want to remove, open the menu in the top corner, then tap Delete APN.
If the entry is greyed out, it is a protected carrier default and cannot be deleted, only edited. In that case, add a new correct APN instead and set it as the active one.
Restart the phone after deleting the entry so the network registers the change immediately, especially if data was already stuck on the wrong profile.
