Enable or Disable Device Admin Apps auf OnePlus
Device admin apps sit above normal app permissions on OnePlus phones. Once activated, an app can enforce screen lock rules, change security settings, or wipe the device remotely, which is why apps like company management tools or find-my-phone services ask for this status.
If an app suddenly stops enforcing a password policy, or you cannot uninstall it normally, check whether its device admin status changed. A revoked permission blocks these deeper actions, while a newly granted one hands the app more control than a typical install.
To review or change this, open Settings ➔ Security & lock screen ➔ Device admin apps. Here every app that requested this level is listed with a toggle to enable or disable it.
Switching an app off removes its extended rights immediately, which can stop a management app from functioning as intended. Switching one on requires confirming with Activate this device admin app, since this grants the app permissions that go beyond standard access.
If you only want to remove a suspicious app entirely, disable its device admin status first. Most apps block uninstallation while this permission is still active, since removing it could otherwise leave admin controls in an inconsistent state.
