Enable Parallel Apps for Dual Messenger Accounts auf OnePlus
Most messenger and social apps allow only one active account per installation. If you carry a work and a private number, or manage a second Instagram profile, you normally have to log out and back in every time. OxygenOS avoids this with Parallel Apps, a system feature that duplicates a supported app into a fully separate instance with its own storage and login session.
Both copies run independently. Notifications, chat history and media stay separated, so messages from one account never mix with the other. The clone appears as a second icon on your home screen, usually marked with a small badge.
To turn a parallel app on or off, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Utilities ➔ Tap on Parallel Apps ➔ Enable or disable an app. Only apps that support multiple accounts, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook or Instagram, show up in that list.
Disabling a parallel app removes the cloned instance and its local data. Back up anything you need from that account before switching it off. If the app you want to duplicate is missing from the list, it does not support this OxygenOS feature and you will need the app's own built-in multi-account option instead, if one exists.
