OxygenOS avoids this with Parallel Apps, a system feature that duplicates a supported app into a fully separate instance with its own storage and login session.

Both copies run independently. Notifications, chat history and media stay separated, so messages from one account never mix with the other. The clone appears as a second icon on your home screen, usually marked with a small badge.

To turn a parallel app on or off, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Utilities ➔ Tap on Parallel Apps ➔ Enable or disable an app. Only apps that support multiple accounts, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook or Instagram, show up in that list.
