Edit a Contact auf OnePlus
Contact details on a OnePlus phone often go out of date. A number changes, a typo slips into a name, or an old email address stays attached to a contact who now uses a different one.
The Contacts app stores this data locally and, if the contact is linked to an account such as Google, keeps that copy in sync. Any edit you make here carries over to that linked account as well, so the correction shows up on other devices too.
To change a detail, follow this path: Open the Contacts app ➔ Choose a contact ➔ Tap on Edit ➔ Select a field ➔ Enter the appropriate data ➔ Tap on Save.
The same steps work whether you are correcting an existing field, adding a new one such as a second phone number, or clearing a field completely by deleting its content before saving. Nothing is removed permanently until you confirm with Save, so you can back out of a change at any point before that.
If a contact appears twice with different details, editing one entry will not merge it with the other. In that case, check whether the contact is duplicated from two different sources before editing either copy.
