Add Emergency Contacts for SOS auf OnePlus
OnePlus phones only trigger the automatic SOS location message when a valid emergency contact is stored on the device. Choosing location transmission as your preferred SOS action does not add anyone to that list on its own. Without a saved contact, the SOS Calls and Messages feature has no recipient and the alert quietly fails.
Emergency contacts live in a separate list from your regular Phone contacts. They decide who gets the emergency text with your live location and who shows up on the lock screen for first responders. At least one contact here is required before SOS can send anything.
To add one, open Settings ➔ Security & lock screen ➔ Emergency rescue ➔ Edit emergency information and contacts ➔ Add contact, then pick the person from your address book.
Repeat this for every contact you want on the list. If someone changes their phone number, remove the old entry here and add it again with the current number, since OnePlus does not pull updates from the regular Phone app automatically.
