Enable or Disable Google Location History auf OnePlus
OnePlus phones running Oxygenos collect location data through Google Play services and forward it to your Google Account whenever Location History is active. This background service builds a timeline of visited places, which Google Maps and other apps use for personalized suggestions, traffic predictions and search results.
The toggle for this feature lives inside your Google Account settings, not in a OnePlus-specific menu. Because the setting is tied to your account rather than the device, disabling it on one phone switches it off across every device where you are signed in with the same account.
Where to find the setting
Open Settings ➔ Location ➔ Advanced ➔ Google Location History, then use the toggle to enable or disable Location History.
Turning the feature off stops new location points from being recorded, but existing entries stay saved in your account until you delete them separately through Google's Timeline. If you only need to hide your movements for a short period, disabling GPS or switching on flight mode is often the better fix, since Location History affects your whole Google Account and every synced device, not just the OnePlus phone you are holding.
