Enable or Disable Google Location Accuracy auf OnePlus
Google location accuracy is a system-level feature on Android that supplements raw GPS signals with data from nearby Wi-Fi networks, cellular towers and onboard sensors. On a OnePlus phone this combination usually means faster location locks and tighter positioning inside maps, navigation and location-based apps.
To turn it on or off, use the following path:
Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Tap on Advanced ➔ Tap on Google Location Accuracy ➔ Enable or disable Improve Location Accuracy
With the toggle enabled, your phone sends anonymous location signals to Google to help refine positioning for you and other users. Disabling it stops that extra data collection, but your device then relies purely on GPS satellites and any offline sensor data, which can be slower indoors or in dense urban areas.
Consider leaving it on if you regularly use navigation or ride-hailing apps and want quick, accurate locks. Consider turning it off if you prefer minimal background data sharing and can accept a slightly less precise or slower GPS fix.
