Enable or Disable JavaScript in Chrome auf OnePlus
JavaScript adds interactivity to websites that plain HTML and CSS cannot provide on their own. Dropdown menus, live content updates, form validation and many login screens depend on it. On a OnePlus phone this feature is controlled per browser, not system-wide, so the setting only affects sites opened in the Chrome app.
If JavaScript is disabled, pages may load with missing content, unresponsive buttons or menus that never open. Some sites will display a warning that JavaScript is required. Re-enabling it usually fixes these issues immediately after a page reload.
Where to find the JavaScript setting
Go to Open the Chrome app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Site settings ➔ Tap on JavaScript ➔ Enable or disable JavaScript. This toggle applies to all sites opened in Chrome going forward.
Turning JavaScript off can reduce data usage and block some tracking scripts, which is useful on a slow connection or for extra privacy on unfamiliar sites. The tradeoff is that many everyday sites, including shopping and banking pages, will stop working correctly until you switch it back on.
