Enable or Disable Location (GPS) auf OnePlus
OnePlus phones enable Location by default so weather widgets, maps and navigation apps can pinpoint your position automatically. The feature combines GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile network signals, which is also why it affects battery life more than most other toggles.
To check or change the status, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Enable or disable Use location. Switching it off stops every app from requesting your position, including background services like weather updates or fitness tracking.
Turning Location off saves battery and limits tracking, but it also breaks features that need real-time positioning, such as turn-by-turn navigation or location-based reminders. If only specific apps cause the drain, check individual app permissions instead of disabling Location system-wide.
The same switch is also available directly from the quick settings panel, so you do not always need to open the full settings menu.
