OnePlus: Add a New Event in the Calendar App

Forgetting a meeting usually comes down to never adding it to the Calendar app in the first place. On OnePlus phones, new entries split into four types - Event, Task, Reminder or Goal - and picking the wrong one can leave out details you actually need, like location or repeat settings. Knowing which type to choose upfront saves you from redoing the entry later.

Create a New Event in the Calendar App auf OnePlus

Calendar entries on OnePlus phones are not just simple appointments. The app splits new entries into four types: Event, Task, Reminder and Goal. Choosing the wrong type early on can mean missing fields you need later, like a location, a repeat interval or a countdown.

To add a new appointment, follow this path: Open the Calendar appTap on AddChoose Goal, Reminder, Task or EventAdd a titleSet further options if desiredTap on Save.

An Event fits meetings, appointments or anything tied to a fixed date and time, and it lets you add a location, guests and a repeat pattern. A Task works better for something you need to finish by a certain day without a strict time slot. A Reminder is meant for short notes tied to a single moment, while a Goal tracks a recurring habit over a longer period.

If you only need a quick note without notifications, a Reminder is faster to set up than a full Event. If the date has to sync with guests or repeat weekly, stick with Event and fill in the additional options before saving.

Frequently asked questions

An Event supports a location, guests and repeat options, while a Reminder only stores a short note tied to one specific time without those extra fields.
