Quick Search or All Apps in App Drawer auf OnePlus
The app drawer on OnePlus phones controls what happens when you swipe up from a free area of the home screen. Depending on the setting, that gesture either opens a search field for quickly finding apps and contacts, or it shows every installed app in a scrollable grid.
Both behaviors come from the same drawer, just with a different display mode. If you notice the wrong screen popping up after the swipe, the drawer mode has likely been changed, possibly by accident during setup or after a system update.
Change the drawer mode
Follow this path to switch between the two options:
Tap and hold a free area on home screen ➔ Tap on Home settings ➔ Tap on Drawer ➔ Choose All apps or Quick search ➔ Tap on Save
Selecting All apps gives you the traditional app grid, useful if you rarely search and prefer scrolling or using folders. Selecting Quick search puts a search bar front and center, which is faster if you have many apps installed and usually type a few letters to find one.
There is no separate on/off switch for the drawer itself in this menu; you are only choosing which of the two behaviors the swipe-up gesture triggers. If the swipe gesture does not respond at all, check whether a different home screen gesture or a third-party launcher is overriding it.
