Remove an App from a Folder on the Home Screen auf OnePlus
Folders on the OnePlus home screen group apps together, but that also means a frequently used app can end up buried a tap deeper than it should be. Moving it back out does not uninstall or reset anything - it only changes where the icon sits.
Why this happens
Apps often land in a folder because of an auto-suggested grouping, an accidental drag, or a folder you created earlier and later stopped needing. OnePlus does not offer a separate settings menu for this - the removal is done directly with a touch gesture on the home screen.
How to move an app out of a folder
Open the folder that contains the app: Tap on a folder. Then press and hold the icon you want to relocate: Tap and hold an app. Keep holding and pull the icon out of the folder area: Drag the app from the folders area. Lift your finger once the icon is over open space on the home screen: Release the app to position it on home screen.
If the folder only had two apps left, removing one automatically dissolves the folder and leaves the remaining app on its own. Repeat the same gesture for any other app you want to pull out.
