Rename a Paired Bluetooth Device auf OnePlus
OnePlus phones list every paired Bluetooth device under a name that the device itself broadcasts. Cheaper accessories, older headsets or generic trackers often send only a model code or their MAC address instead of a readable label. Once you pair more than two or three devices, telling them apart in the connection menu becomes guesswork.
Android and Oxygenos let you override that broadcast name with a label of your own choice. This local nickname is stored on your phone only and does not change anything on the accessory itself. If you reset the accessory or pair it with another phone, the original name shows up again there.
How to rename a paired device
Open the Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Bluetooth & device connection ➔ Tap on Bluetooth ➔ Open the device´s settings ➔ Tap on Edit ➔ Enter a name and tap on Rename.
The device only needs to appear in your paired list, it does not have to be actively connected while you rename it. If the option is missing, disconnect the accessory and reconnect it once before trying again.
