Reset Advertising ID auf OnePlus
The advertising ID is a random string generated on every Android device. Apps and ad networks use it to build a profile of your interests without needing your name or email address.
On a OnePlus phone running Android with OxygenOS, this ID lives under the privacy settings, separate from your Google account or app data. Resetting it does not delete photos, messages, or app logins. It only replaces the identifier that ad networks have collected against, so new ad requests start with a blank profile.
To reset it, go to Open the Settings ➕ Tap on Privacy ➕ Tap on Advanced ➕ Tap on Ads ➕ Tap on Reset advertising ID ➕ Confirm with OK.
Expect ads to look generic for a short period afterward, since apps need fresh data to rebuild personalization. If ads still feel targeted right after the reset, check that background app tracking permissions have not simply regenerated a matching profile from other signals, such as your Google account activity or browser cookies. Clearing those separately gives a more complete reset.
