Set Date Manually auf OnePlus
Your OnePlus phone normally syncs its date and time straight from the mobile network or Wi-Fi connection. This keeps the clock accurate without any input from you, but it also means a manual date change gets overwritten within seconds.
The setting responsible for this behavior is called Use network-provided time, found inside the Date & time menu. As long as it stays active, the system treats the network signal as the only trusted source and ignores manual edits.
To set a custom date, disable that option first. Open Settings ➔ System ➔ Date & time ➔ disable Use network-provided time ➔ tap Date ➔ set the date and confirm with OK.
Once network sync is off, the phone keeps whatever date you enter until you either change it again or turn the automatic function back on. This is useful for testing apps, working in isolated environments without connectivity, or troubleshooting apps that check the system clock.
If the wrong date causes login errors, certificate warnings, or sync failures with cloud services, re-enabling Use network-provided time is usually the faster fix, since a permanently incorrect manual date can break time-sensitive features like two-factor authentication codes or scheduled notifications.
