Enable or Disable Share Location in the Browser App auf OnePlus
The Share location setting inside Chrome decides whether any website is even allowed to request your GPS position. It sits separately from the location permission you grant to the browser app itself in your phone's app settings.
If this toggle is off, every site request gets blocked automatically, and you never see the usual prompt asking for permission. That explains why search results near you, map embeds, or delivery-tracking pages suddenly stop working even though location services are on for the rest of the phone.
To check or change it, open Open the Chrome app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Site settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Enable or disable Location.
Leave it enabled if you regularly rely on location-aware search, weather, or shopping sites and want to approve requests case by case. Disable it only if you want a hard block on all location requests from the browser, for example on a shared or borrowed device.
Keep in mind this setting only affects the browser app. Other apps that use your location, such as navigation or delivery apps, have their own permission controls and are not touched by this toggle.
