Show WiFi Password as QR Code auf OnePlus
When someone asks for your WiFi password, spelling out a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols wastes time and often leads to typos. OnePlus stores the credentials of every network you have joined and can convert them into a QR code that any phone camera reads instantly.
The feature only works for the network your OnePlus phone is currently connected to, since the password has to be pulled from the active connection profile. To generate it, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi & network ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Open the connected network's settings ➔ Tap on Share. The resulting QR code encodes the network name and password together.
Anyone who wants to join simply opens their camera app or a QR scanner and points it at the screen. Most modern phones recognize a WiFi QR code automatically and offer to connect right away.
This method is useful for guests, smart home devices with a camera-based setup flow, or when handing out access without saying the password out loud in a public space. If the network uses hidden SSID broadcasting or enterprise authentication, the generated code may not work correctly, since those setups need additional credentials that a simple QR code cannot carry.
