Show or Hide the Specs Watermark in Photos auf OnePlus
The specs watermark on OnePlus phones stamps a short line of text into the lower left corner of a photo, naming the phone model and sometimes the camera hardware behind the shot. It is generated by the camera app itself and baked directly into the saved image, so it cannot be removed afterward through a simple crop without losing part of the frame.
The setting lives inside the camera app rather than in the general system settings, which is why it is easy to miss. To change it, open Open the Camera app ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Shot on OnePlus watermark ➔ Enable or disable Watermark.
Once disabled, every photo taken afterward saves without the text overlay. Existing photos already saved with the watermark stay unchanged, since the stamp is part of the image data.
Turning the watermark back on is useful if you want to credit the device and camera setup when sharing photos publicly, for example on social media or in comparison shots. Turning it off makes sense for cleaner shots meant for printing, editing, or professional use where an extra text overlay is unwanted.
