Turn On Wi-Fi Automatically auf OnePlus
OnePlus phones use a location- and signal-based Wi-Fi service to reconnect automatically once you walk back into range of a network you already saved. Android checks nearby networks in the background and only re-enables Wi-Fi when the signal is strong enough to hold a stable connection.
This function lives inside Wi-Fi preferences and is separate from the regular Wi-Fi toggle in the notification shade. If it is switched off, the phone stays on mobile data even when you walk back into your home or office network, and you have to enable Wi-Fi manually every single time.
To adjust it, open the Settings app and tap on Wi-Fi & network. Tap on Wi-Fi, then on Wi-Fi preferences. From there you can enable or disable Turn on Wi-Fi automatically.
Turning the feature on saves mobile data and keeps connections stable at home, but it can also wake Wi-Fi in places you did not expect, for example near a neighbor's network with the same name. If unexpected reconnects drain your battery or interrupt a mobile hotspot session, switching the option off gives you manual control instead.
