If words get swapped or rewritten while you type, without any underline or tap-to-confirm option, auto-correction is silently editing your text. This sits inside the keyboard settings, not in any messaging app itself. Typing names, slang, or technical terms becomes annoying when the keyboard keeps replacing them on its own.

Block Unknown Callers Automatically
If your Oppo phone keeps ringing from numbers that are not saved as contacts, spam calls and unknown callers get through every single time, even at night or during work. ColorOS has a built-in filter for exactly this, but it works differently from a normal blocklist. The setting rejects any caller missing from your address book, with one safety exception for repeat callers.
Turn Bedtime Mode On or Off
If your phone still lights up with notifications and full color at night, Bedtime mode probably isn't scheduled correctly on your Oppo. Set Default Browser App
Tapping a link on your Oppo phone keeps launching Chrome even though you installed a different browser. This option tells the modem which network generation to search for first, and a wrong choice leads to dropped calls, sluggish data, or a missing 5G icon. The available options depend on your device model and what your carrier actually supports.
Disable Mirror Effect for Front Camera Selfies
Selfies taken with the front camera on Oppo phones often come out mirrored, so text and logos appear backwards and your face looks flipped compared to how others actually see you. This happens because the camera saves the photo exactly as shown in the live preview instead of correcting the flip. The Flip Selfie setting controls this behavior, but it sits inside the advanced camera settings and is easy to overlook.
Raise to Wake Setting
If your Oppo screen keeps lighting up on its own while the phone sits on a table or rides around in your bag, a motion sensor is picking up every small movement. Enable Face Recognition for App Lock and Private Safe
If Oppo face unlock only works for the lock screen, you might not know it can also protect individual apps and the Private Safe. Add a Keyboard Language on Gboard
If you type in more than one language, the default Gboard setup only offers your phone's system language and blocks you from typing accented characters or a different script. Switching the whole system language just to write a message is not necessary. Gboard can hold several languages at once and let you switch between them while typing.
Adjust Audio Balance
If one ear picks up music, calls or video sound louder than the other, the audio balance on your Oppo phone is skewed toward the left or right channel. This often goes unnoticed until you use earbuds or a headset and one side feels noticeably quieter. A hidden slider in the accessibility settings controls this balance and can be nudged back to center.
Enable Mobile Data During Calls on Secondary SIM
If your internet drops the moment you pick up a call on your primary SIM, the secondary SIM's mobile data connection is probably not allowed to take over.
