Allow or Deny Picture-in-Picture Per App
If a video collapses into a floating window when you switch away from an app on your Oppo phone, or if that floating window refuses to appear at all, the picture-in-picture permission for that specific app is the cause. This setting is controlled per app, so one app can support it while another stays blocked. Streaming apps, video calls and some browsers behave differently depending on how this permission is set.
Empty the Gallery Recycle Bin
Deleting a photo or video on your Oppo phone does not actually remove it from storage right away. Instead it sits in the Gallery trash for 30 days, still taking up space and still recoverable by anyone with access to the phone. If you need those files gone immediately, the trash has to be cleared manually.
Restore Deleted Photos and Videos from the Trash
If a photo or video vanishes from your Oppo gallery, it usually lands in the Recently deleted folder before it's gone for good. After 30 days in that folder, Coloros removes the file permanently and no recovery option remains inside the Gallery app.
Disable Mirror Effect for Front Camera Selfies
Selfies taken with the front camera on Oppo phones often come out mirrored, so text and logos appear backwards and your face looks flipped compared to how others actually see you. This happens because the camera saves the photo exactly as shown in the live preview instead of correcting the flip. Turn Grid Lines On or Off in Camera

Delete Photos or Videos

Delete a Photo Album

Change Video Resolution
Not every Oppo phone records the same video quality out of the box, and the default setting often stays on HD or FullHD even when your device supports more. If your clips look softer than expected or take up more storage than planned, the resolution picked in the camera app is usually the reason.
Change Camera Frame (Aspect Ratio)
If your photos look tighter or wider than expected, or the resolution suddenly seems lower, the camera frame ratio is probably set to the wrong option. Turn Camera Watermark On/Off
If every photo or video from the camera app carries an unwanted overlay with the phone model, date, time, or location, ColorOS added that watermark automatically. Create a Photo Album
When photos and screenshots keep piling up in one long timeline, finding a specific shot becomes a scroll marathon. The Gallery app on Oppo phones lets you group images and clips into albums, but ColorOS keeps the feature basic. You cannot pick a cover image, rename categories after the fact in every version, or nest one album inside another.
Turn Screenshot Gestures On or Off
If a screenshot pops up every time you swipe down with three fingers, or a partial capture opens whenever you touch and hold with three fingers, the screenshot gesture settings on your Oppo phone are active. These gestures work independently from the button combination and are enabled by default in ColorOS. Random captures while gaming or scrolling usually point to one of these gestures firing by accident.
Tap-to-Capture: Take Photos with a Single Screen Tap
Tapping the screen to frame a shot on your Oppo camera sometimes fires the shutter instead of just setting focus. That happens because Touch to take photo is switched on, so the camera snaps the picture the instant focus locks on the spot you tapped. If you only wanted to adjust focus, this can lead to blurry or mistimed shots.
Turn Mono Audio On or Off
If you only wear one earbud or rely on a single-ear headset, Oppo's default stereo playback can cause you to miss dialogue, notification tones, or background sounds that are mixed to the other channel. This shows up during calls, videos, and games where audio cues are split left and right. Mono audio fixes this by merging both channels into one identical signal.
Set Up and Start Screen Recorder
Screen recording on Oppo starts fine from Quick settings, but the actual recording options are hidden away in a separate menu. If you want to capture system sound, add your microphone, or bump up the video resolution before you hit record, the toggle alone will not get you there. Many users only discover the settings after recording a clip with the wrong audio source or a blurry resolution.
