Set Up Fixed Dialing Numbers (FDN)
If your Realme phone still connects to numbers you never approved, Fixed Dialing Numbers (FDN) is likely still switched off. FDN limits outgoing calls, except emergency numbers, to a list you control, but the feature only activates after you enter your SIM PIN2. Allow or Deny Picture-in-Picture per App
When a YouTube or Netflix video suddenly loses its floating window and jumps back to full screen the moment you open another app, Picture-in-Picture is disabled for that specific app on your Realme phone. Realme UI controls this permission separately for every app, so enabling it once for YouTube does not activate it for Netflix or any other media app. Without this permission, switching apps pauses or closes the video instead of shrinking it into a movable window.
Set Custom Notification Sounds per App
When every app plays the same default tone, you can't tell a WhatsApp message apart from a calendar reminder without checking the screen. Realme UI lets you assign a separate ringtone to each app's notification category, but that option is buried inside the per-app notification settings, not the general sound menu. Most users only ever adjust the single global notification sound and never discover this app-level control.
Schedule Do Not Disturb
If Do Not Disturb keeps buzzing through notifications at night or you forget to switch it off after a meeting, manual toggling is the problem. Realme lets you automate this with a saved schedule instead of remembering to flip the switch every time. Without a schedule, the mode only runs when you trigger it yourself.
Require Open Eyes for Face Unlock
If your Realme phone unlocks even when you are drowsy or your eyes are barely open, the built-in eye-check for Face Unlock is turned off. Realme UI can require fully open eyes before it accepts a face scan, adding a layer against spoofing with photos or a sleeping face. Glasses wearers sometimes report the opposite problem: valid unlock attempts get rejected.
Unlock Private Safe with Fingerprint
Typing a password or PIN every time you check the Private Safe on your Realme phone gets tedious fast. The safe hides files and apps behind its own lock screen, separate from the phone unlock, and by default only accepts that password, pattern or PIN. A quick fingerprint shortcut can replace most of those manual entries.
Turn Keyboard Vibration On or Off
Every tap on the realme keyboard can trigger a short buzz to confirm the keypress, but that constant vibration gets annoying fast during calls, meetings, or late-night typing. If Gboard keeps buzzing after every letter or stays silent when you actually want feedback, the haptic setting is likely set the wrong way for your habits.
