Letting a family member or your kids use your Realme phone means their apps, photos and settings mix with yours on one shared account. Realme UI lets you create a separate profile so each person gets their own home screen, their own installed apps and their own personal data, kept apart from the main administrator account.
Turn On/Off USB Debugging
When your PC does not recognize your Realme phone in ADB or Android Studio, USB debugging is usually still switched off. This option lives inside the hidden Developer options menu, which most Realme phones do not show by default. This behavior is controlled by a Gboard preference that only works when the suggestion strip above the keyboard is already turned on. Skip that requirement and the toggle stays inactive no matter how many times you flip it.
Add a Printer Manually by IP Address
When a printer does not show up automatically in the default print service on your Realme phone, the auto-discovery over Wi-Fi has failed to find it. This can happen with printers on a different network segment or with 'Default Print Service' still loading its device list. Adding the printer manually by IP address gets around that without waiting for auto-detection to finish.
Erase All Downloaded Apps and Their Data

If your kid spends too much time on the Realme phone or opens apps and content that are not age-appropriate, the missing restriction is usually parental controls, not a broken app. Realme UI bundles screen time limits, content restrictions, and Google Play filtering into one setup flow that many users never open.
Turn On/Off Power Saving Mode

Add Access Point Names (APNs) Manually
If mobile data stops working or MMS messages won't send on your Realme phone, the access point name from your carrier is often missing or incorrect. Realme UI normally pulls these APN settings automatically from your SIM, but a carrier switch, a factory reset, or a corrupted profile can leave the field empty. Without a valid APN entry, your phone cannot establish a data connection at all.
Turn On/Off Emergency Location Service
Realme phones can send your exact location the moment you dial an emergency number, even if you never touched a location setting yourself. Emergency Location Service (ELS) runs independently from Google location controls, so switching those off does not stop it. If you want to decide for yourself whether your position goes out during an emergency call, ELS itself needs to be adjusted.
Auto-restore App Data After Reinstall
When you reinstall an app on your Realme phone, saved settings, game progress, or login details sometimes fail to come back automatically. This depends on the Automatic restore option linked to your Google backup, not on the app itself. If restores feel inconsistent or you want a clean install instead, this setting is the reason.
Connect to Wi-Fi via WPS
Typing a long Wi-Fi password on a small keyboard gets annoying fast, especially with mixed-case characters and symbols. If your router has a physical WPS button within reach, Realme phones can skip the password screen entirely and pair directly with Wi-Fi Protected Setup. No password entry, no QR code needed.
Screenshot Sound On or Off
Every screenshot on your Realme phone triggers a camera-shutter sound, even in a quiet room or meeting. If that confirmation tone keeps catching you off guard, or you simply want it back after muting it, the switch sits in the sound and haptic settings rather than in the general notification menu.
Allow or Block Apps From Scanning for Wi-Fi Networks
If your realme phone still detects nearby Wi-Fi networks with Wi-Fi switched off, a background feature called Scanning always available is likely active. Location services and certain apps use this scan data to improve accuracy, even without an active connection. If your Realme phone keeps latching onto a weak home carrier near a border or in a rural spot, calls drop and data stalls even though a stronger foreign network sits right next door. Automatic network selection picks whatever signal is strongest, but that can also mean an expensive roaming partner or a 2G-only connection. Switching to manual selection lets you pick the exact network yourself instead of leaving it to the phone.
Set Default USB Configuration
If your Realme phone keeps asking whether to charge or transfer files every time you plug in a USB cable, that repeated prompt comes from a setting most people never touch. The phone has no fixed default for USB behavior, so it shows the same selection screen on every connection to a PC or laptop. Developer options lets you lock in one mode instead of choosing it manually each time.
Set Custom Notification Sounds per App
When every app plays the same default tone, you can't tell a WhatsApp message apart from a calendar reminder without checking the screen.
