Show or Hide Status Bar Icons
A status bar packed with icons for Bluetooth, alarm, NFC, and mobile data can bury the one piece of information you actually need. On many Realme phones several of these icons stay switched on by default even if you barely use the connection behind them. The status icons menu lets you turn each icon on or off on its own instead of living with a crowded display.
Enable or Disable a SIM Card
If you run two SIM cards in your Realme phone, say one for work and one private, you sometimes need to switch one off without removing it. Deactivating a SIM does not delete its settings, calls and mobile data simply route through the remaining SIM as if only one card was inserted. This is different from ejecting the tray, since the deactivated SIM stays registered for later use.
Turn Auto-correction On or Off
When Gboard autocorrects words that were already correct, the Text correction feature is usually tuned too aggressively for how you actually type. Names, slang, abbreviations and technical terms get swapped for the wrong suggestion more often than they get fixed. Switching the setting off gives you back full control over what lands on the screen.
Rename a Folder
New folders on your Realme home screen get generic names like 'Social Networks' or 'Lifestyle', assigned automatically based on the apps you drop inside them. If you sort apps by your own logic - projects, moods, or daily routines - these auto-generated labels stop making sense fast. Renaming lets you turn any folder into something that actually matches how you use your phone.
Switch the Google Backup Account
After turning on automatic Google backup, Realme UI still needs one specific account selected before it knows where to store your data. If several Google accounts are signed in on your phone, the wrong one might be picked by default. You can switch to a different backup account at any time without losing backups you already made.
Turn On/Off Caller ID Announcement
If your Realme phone keeps reading out caller names or numbers even when you are not using a headset, or stays silent when you actually want that announcement while driving, the Caller ID announcement setting is likely set to the wrong option. This feature can read the saved contact name or the raw phone number aloud for every incoming call. Getting the option wrong means either constant interruptions or missing an announcement you actually need.
Eye Comfort Schedule Setup
If eye comfort mode on your Realme phone only kicks in when you remember to tap the toggle, screen strain creeps back in during evening reading sessions. The feature filters blue light and cooler tones, but without a fixed schedule it depends entirely on manual activation at the right moment. A defined start and end time keeps the warmer color tone active exactly when you need it, without you thinking about it.
Turn Bluetooth On or Off
When your realme phone will not connect to headphones, earbuds or a speaker, Bluetooth is often still switched off in the background. The toggle can hide either in the quick settings panel or deep inside the connection settings, and a disabled radio module also blocks any pairing attempt.
Turn On/Off Screen Magnification
Small text, tiny icons, or fine print in photos can be hard to read on a Realme phone screen. Realme UI has a built-in magnifier for exactly this, but it stays switched off until you enable it in the accessibility settings, and the gesture that triggers it isn't obvious at first.
Share Internet via Bluetooth from a Paired Device
If a laptop, tablet or older gadget paired with your Realme phone has no Wi-Fi option nearby, it can still get online through the Bluetooth link itself. Realme UI keeps this data-sharing permission switched off by default for every paired device, even after pairing succeeds. Without turning it on, the other device stays connected for file transfer or calls only, never for actual internet traffic.
Stay on Lock Screen After Face Unlock
On Realme phones, pressing the power button often unlocks the device straight to the home screen as soon as your face is recognized, so the lock screen never actually shows up. That skips past notifications, widgets, and other lock screen info you might still want to glance at. Realme UI has a separate screen unlock setting that decides whether recognition unlocks the phone immediately or just wakes the display for a swipe.
Lift to Ear to Answer Calls: Enable or Disable
If your Realme phone picks up calls the moment you grab it out of your pocket, or lifting it to your ear never answers the call at all, the Lift to ear to answer calls gesture is probably misconfigured. This motion relies on the proximity and motion sensors, and thick cases or a bag can throw off the detection.
Change SIM PIN
A new SIM card usually ships with a default PIN chosen by your carrier, and that code is rarely one you would pick yourself. On Realme phones this PIN lives in the Security settings, completely separate from your screen lock or device password. Keeping the default in place makes it easier for anyone who gets hold of your SIM to guess it.
Turn Screen Wake-Up for Notifications On or Off
If your Realme phone stays dark when a message or call comes in, you have to unlock it manually just to see what happened. The screen wake-up for notifications, part of the Notification & status bar settings, decides whether the display lights up automatically for incoming alerts. Some people run into the opposite problem: the screen keeps waking up at night and draining battery.
Show or Hide App Suggestions in the App Drawer
Every time you open the app drawer on your Realme phone, a row of suggested apps shows up above your full app list, picked based on what you have opened recently. If you find that suggestion bar distracting, or you just do not want Realme UI displaying your last-used apps at the top, that behavior comes from a single toggle you may not have noticed yet.
Show or Hide Real-Time Network Speed in the Status Bar
When the status bar only shows signal bars, you have no way to tell if a stalled download is due to a slow connection or something else. Realme UI can display live upload and download speed next to the clock, but the option stays off by default on most phones.
Turn On/Off Call Barring
If unwanted international calls keep coming through or you need to block outgoing calls on a shared or work SIM, call barring lets you restrict specific call types on your Realme phone. On Dual SIM devices the restriction only applies to the SIM you configure, not both cards at once. Getting the wrong option turned on can also block calls you actually need, such as roaming while traveling.
Turn On/Off Optimized Night Charging
If your phone sits on the charger all night at full charge, the battery wears out faster than it should. Optimized night charging on Realme phones learns your daily routine and slows the final part of the charge so the battery is not held at 100 percent for hours. When the feature is off or your charging habits are irregular, the phone reaches full charge quickly and just stays there until you unplug it.
Autospace After Punctuation: Enable or Disable
If your texts need a space right after a period, comma or question mark, Gboard on your Realme phone can add it automatically while you type WhatsApp messages or emails. The feature is still in beta and currently works only with the US English keyboard, so it may behave differently or stay hidden with other language settings.
Set Home Screen Wallpaper
If your Realme phone keeps showing the same default background or a live wallpaper you never picked, the Wallpapers menu inside Personalizations is where that setting lives. Static images, animated live wallpapers, and your own gallery photos all sit in one place, but picking the wrong option can leave a live wallpaper running in the background and draining battery. Knowing which category to pick first saves you from applying the wrong wallpaper twice.
App Drawer: Enable or Disable
If all your apps sit scattered across several Realme home screens instead of collected in one place, the App Drawer mode is switched off. Whether new apps land directly on a home screen or in a separate overview depends on this one setting.
Turn Google Location History On or Off
If Google Maps Timeline shows blank days or never remembers the places you visited, Location History is probably switched off for your Google account. If you would rather stop your Realme phone from reporting your movements to Google at all, the same setting is what you need to check. Either way, the toggle sits inside your Google account settings, not in a separate Realme menu.
Move a Widget on the Home Screen
A widget lands in the wrong spot on the Realme home screen and clutters the icons around it. Since every widget has a fixed minimum size, a few pixels off can throw the whole layout out of balance. Repositioning it takes only a quick drag, but the exact gesture is not obvious on the first try.
Connect to a Wi-Fi Network
Downloading a system update or a large app over mobile data can eat through your monthly allowance fast, especially if your carrier caps high-speed data. Before you start a big download on your Realme phone, you want to make sure it actually uses your home or office Wi-Fi instead of cellular data. If the phone keeps falling back to mobile data, the Wi-Fi connection was likely never set up or the password was entered wrong.
