Set Default Home Screen Panel
Tapping the Home button always jumps to Samsung Daily instead of your main app grid? Samsung marks the second home screen panel, the one running Samsung Daily, as the default landing page. You can pick any existing panel on your home screen and make that one open instead.
Turn On/Off Dark Mode
If your screen stays glaring white at night or your AMOLED display drains the battery faster than expected, Dark Mode is probably switched off. Samsung lets you enable it manually or have it follow a daily schedule automatically. Knowing exactly where this toggle sits in Display settings saves you from hunting through menus every evening.
Rename a Paired Bluetooth Device
If your phone keeps showing a paired accessory under its factory name instead of something you can actually recognize, that label comes from the device itself, not from your phone. Once several accessories use similar generic names, telling them apart in your Bluetooth list gets confusing.
Call Forwarding Setup
If calls keep landing on voicemail instead of reaching you on a second number, call forwarding on your Samsung phone might already be active or set up wrong. Voice calls and video calls each have their own forwarding rule, and the network often forwards calls automatically when you are busy, unavailable or do not answer. Leaving the wrong option enabled means callers never reach the number you actually want.
Show or Hide Web Previews in Messages
When someone texts you a link, Samsung Messages can automatically pull in a preview showing the page title, a small screenshot and the URL. That preview loads over mobile data every time a link arrives, even if you never tap on it, which can add up on a limited plan. Whether that convenience is worth the data use depends on how often you get linked messages.
Turn On/Off Vibrate When Answered
You accept a call but get no confirmation that the connection actually went through, especially with the phone in your pocket or away from your ear. On Samsung phones, a short vibration when you answer closes that gap, but it runs on a separate setting from your normal ringtone vibration. Many users only notice it is off after a settings reset or a new device setup.
Forward a Message
Copying and pasting the text of an SMS only grabs the words, not the attachments, photos, or links that came with it. If you want to send the whole message along with everything it contains, Samsung's Messages app has a dedicated forward option built into every conversation.
Change Default Keyboard Language

Show or Hide Music Info on Always On Display
When a track plays through Spotify, YouTube Music or another app in the background, the Always On Display can show the song title and artist. Connect via Wi-Fi Direct
When two Samsung phones are next to each other but can't share files because they're not on the same WLAN, Wi-Fi Direct solves it. This peer-to-peer connection skips the router entirely and links two devices straight to each other. It only works if both devices support Wi-Fi Direct and have the feature open at the same time.
Change Screen Zoom
When text, icons and the navigation bar look too small or too large on your Samsung phone, the Screen zoom setting is usually not matched to your eyesight or the app layout you use most. This one slider scales fonts, buttons, apps and system elements at the same time, similar to changing the resolution on a computer monitor. Pick the wrong level and some apps clip text or push controls off the visible screen.
Block a Phone Number
Getting repeated calls or texts from the same unknown or unwanted number is more than annoying when your phone keeps ringing at the wrong moment. Samsung phones let you block specific numbers even if they were never saved as a contact. Once a number is on the block list, calls go straight to rejection and messages never reach your inbox.
Turn Android Beam On or Off
If Android Beam does not show up when you try to share a webpage, contact, or file by touching two phones together, the feature might be switched off or hidden inside the NFC settings. Android Beam only works on Samsung devices with an NFC chip, so on models without one the option never appears at all. Knowing exactly where the toggle sits saves you from digging through unrelated connection settings.
Delete Browsing Data in Samsung Internet
If Samsung Internet keeps reloading outdated pages, autofilling old addresses, or logging into sites you never asked it to remember, leftover browsing data is usually the cause. Cache, cookies, saved passwords, and location permissions pile up over time and can slow the browser down or expose personal details on a shared device.
Move a Widget on the Home Screen
A widget that landed in the wrong spot on your Samsung home screen can overlap app icons or leave awkward gaps in your layout. Many users try to delete and re-add the widget instead of simply repositioning it. The home screen also locks widgets in place until edit mode is active, which makes them feel stuck.
Snooze a Notification
