Reject an Incoming Call
When a call comes in on a Samsung phone, dragging the icon the wrong way answers it instead of declining it. The red handset works the same way as the green one, just pulled in the opposite direction, and calls that pop up as a small banner while you are using another app need a separate tap instead of a swipe.
Delete a Single Message from a Conversation
Sometimes only one message in a thread needs to go, not the whole conversation. Deleting the entire chat on a Samsung phone removes messages you might still need, and long-pressing the wrong bubble can select more than intended. It also helps to know that removing a message only clears it from your own device, not from the other person's phone.
Manage Calendar Colors
When several accounts sync into the Samsung Calendar app, every entry can end up in the same shade, making it hard to tell a work meeting from a personal appointment or a public holiday at a glance. Call Forwarding Setup
If calls keep landing on voicemail instead of reaching you on a second number, call forwarding on your Samsung phone might already be active or set up wrong. Voice calls and video calls each have their own forwarding rule, and the network often forwards calls automatically when you are busy, unavailable or do not answer. Leaving the wrong option enabled means callers never reach the number you actually want.
Show or Hide Web Previews in Messages
When someone texts you a link, Samsung Messages can automatically pull in a preview showing the page title, a small screenshot and the URL. That preview loads over mobile data every time a link arrives, even if you never tap on it, which can add up on a limited plan. Whether that convenience is worth the data use depends on how often you get linked messages.
Forward a Message
Copying and pasting the text of an SMS only grabs the words, not the attachments, photos, or links that came with it. If you want to send the whole message along with everything it contains, Samsung's Messages app has a dedicated forward option built into every conversation.
Block a Phone Number
Getting repeated calls or texts from the same unknown or unwanted number is more than annoying when your phone keeps ringing at the wrong moment. Samsung phones let you block specific numbers even if they were never saved as a contact. Once a number is on the block list, calls go straight to rejection and messages never reach your inbox.
