Enable Suspicious Network Detection for Wi-Fi

Samsung devices include a background check that flags this kind of suspicious network behavior, but the toggle for it is easy to miss and sometimes gets switched off during a reset. Switching the start day yourself fixes the display without changing anything else in Calendar.
Change SIM Card Name
If your phone only shows SIM 1 and SIM 2, it is easy to grab the wrong line when you place a call or send a text on a dual-SIM phone. Samsung lets you replace these generic labels with a name you actually recognize, but the option sits inside the SIM card manager rather than the general network settings. Without renaming, call logs, message previews, and quick settings keep showing the default slot number instead of a clear label.
Quick Launch Camera via Side Key
Double-pressing the Side key should open the Camera app straight from the lock screen, but on some Samsung phones nothing happens or a different app launches instead. When a chat bubble or floating icon from an app like Facebook Messenger keeps covering your screen no matter what you open, that app has permission to draw over other apps. Some tools need this to work, like screen recorders or floating widgets, but many apps request it without a clear reason. If the overlay gets in the way or feels like a privacy risk, you can turn it off per app.
Auto-Lock Secure Folder Settings
By default, Secure Folder on Samsung phones only locks once the screen turns off, which leaves your private apps and files exposed for longer than expected if someone grabs the phone while it's still active. If you want it to lock immediately, right after a restart, or after a fixed amount of time instead, that behavior sits in a setting most people never touch.
Custom Notification Sound per App
On Samsung phones every app can technically get its own notification sound, but only if that app requests separate notification categories from the system. Apps that bundle everything into one generic channel keep the sound picker greyed out no matter what you try. That leaves you guessing whether a buzz is a message, a reaction, or a system alert.
Turn Autocorrect On or Off
If Samsung's keyboard swaps out words you typed correctly for something else the moment you hit space or send a message, autocorrect is stepping in. This happens because text recognition is active by default and rewrites anything it flags as a typo. Turning off Auto replace stops the keyboard from changing your words automatically.
