Set App Timers
If one app on your phone keeps eating more of your day than planned, Samsung's App Timer can shut it down automatically once the daily budget runs out. The app closes itself and stays locked until midnight, then resets. Apps inside Secure Folder or dual-app clones are not affected by this limit at all.
Add an Email Account (POP3/IMAP)

The feature needs an active Wi-Fi or mobile data link plus a signed-in Samsung account to pull results. Without both, the camera viewfinder just shows the live image with no overlay.
Set Action Time for Pop-up Notifications
If a pop-up notification or app banner disappears before you can read it or tap a button, the timeout is set too short for your reaction speed. On Samsung phones this delay is controlled by an accessibility setting, not by the notification app itself. A short timeout also affects pop-up windows that need a quick response, like permission prompts.
Create a Contact Group
Sending the same text to five people one at a time gets old fast, and forwarding photos to the same circle of friends over and over wastes time. Turn Silent Mode On or Off

That happens when a page hijacks your browser history and forces a redirect the moment you try to leave it. A dedicated privacy setting stops sites from rewriting your Back button behavior like this.
Space Bar Hold Action
If holding down the space bar on your Samsung keyboard triggers cursor control when you actually wanted voice input, or does nothing at all, the touch-and-hold behavior is set to an option that does not match how you type. Samsung Keyboard lets you assign a specific action to a long press of the space bar. Picking the wrong one makes text editing slower instead of faster.
Show or Hide Charging Info on Always On Display
When you plug in a Samsung phone, the Always On Display can overlay the charge percentage and estimated time to full right on the lock screen. Turn Show Palm On or Off for Selfies
If your Samsung camera keeps snapping photos every time you raise an open hand, the 'Show palm' gesture is reacting to more than just selfies. Turning it on or off only takes a few taps inside the camera settings.
Hide Notification Pop-ups in Do Not Disturb
Even with Do Not Disturb turned on, notification banners and icons keep popping up on the screen, they just arrive silently. That happens because Do Not Disturb only mutes sound and vibration by default, it does not hide the visual notification itself. If you want your screen to stay completely clear while the mode is active, you need a separate setting for that.
Delete a Calendar Event
Cancelled appointments and outdated entries stay visible in the Samsung Calendar until you remove them manually. Old events pile up in the daily view and make it harder to spot what is actually still coming up. Deleting a single entry does not affect any other appointments stored in the calendar.
Turn Bixby Launch on the Side Key On or Off
Long-pressing the power button used to switch off your Samsung phone, but on newer devices the same press launches Bixby instead. Samsung renamed the power button to a Side key and moved its behavior into a separate menu. If you keep triggering Bixby by accident while trying to turn the phone off, the Side key settings are where the conflict actually sits.
Change Home Screen Wallpaper
If your home screen still shows the old background after picking a new photo, Samsung One UI likely applied the change to the lock screen instead. Change Alarm Volume
If your alarm sounds too quiet or too loud, the fix is not in your general sound settings. On Samsung phones, alarm volume is controlled separately for each alarm inside the Clock app, not through the main volume slider. Without knowing this, many people assume the alarm volume is stuck at one level.
Share Contacts as File or Text
Retyping a phone number or address for a friend wastes time and often introduces typos. Rearrange Quick Settings
Only five Quick settings toggles show up when you swipe down once, and the ones you actually need are not always among them.
