Disable Swipe-Up Search on Home Screen auf Xiaomi
On Xiaomi phones running MIUI, swiping up anywhere on the home screen triggers the built-in search bar instead of leaving the gesture free for something else. This behavior is tied to the home screen layout settings, not to a specific app, so it stays active across every home screen page until you change it manually.
The toggle only appears when the app drawer is switched off. If you use the app drawer layout, the swipe-up gesture is already reserved for opening it, so the search option won't show up in the menu at all.
To turn off swipe-up search, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Home screen and disable Enable or disable Swipe up on the Home screen to open search. The change takes effect immediately, no restart needed.
Turning it off frees the gesture for scrolling between widgets or pages without accidentally launching search. If you regularly rely on the swipe-up shortcut to find apps or contacts, keep it enabled instead — disabling it removes that shortcut without adding a replacement gesture.
