Turn On/Off Call Recording auf Xiaomi
Call recording on Xiaomi phones is handled inside the native Phone app, not a separate tool. It is turned off out of the box, which is why calls are not saved unless you switch it on yourself.
Where the setting lives
Open Open the Phone app ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Call recording. From there you can toggle Enable or disable Record calls automatically and then decide the scope with Choose All numbers or Selected numbers.
Picking All numbers records every incoming and outgoing call without extra steps. Picking Selected numbers only records the contacts you add to that list, which is useful if you only need documentation for specific calls, like support hotlines or business clients.
When to leave it off
In many countries, recording a call without telling the other person is restricted or requires their consent. If you are unsure about local rules, keep the feature off or inform the other party before recording, since Xiaomi does not manage that legal side for you.
If calls are not being saved even with the toggle enabled, check available storage first, since recordings are stored as local audio files and stop silently once the phone runs out of space.
