Clear Cache (Storage & Backup) auf Xiaomi
Cache files build up automatically while you use apps on your Xiaomi phone. MIUI keeps small copies of images, login tokens and temporary data so apps load faster the next time you open them.
Over weeks and months this cache grows without you noticing. Old thumbnails, broken shortcuts and leftover files from uninstalled apps stay behind and quietly consume storage space. On phones with limited storage this can slow down the whole system and occasionally causes apps to crash or behave unexpectedly.
Where to clear the cache
Open Settings ➔ About phone ➔ Storage ➔ Cached data and confirm with OK. MIUI then removes all temporary files system-wide, without touching your photos, messages or app logins.
Clearing the cache is safe and reversible: apps simply rebuild their cache the next time you open them, which can make the first launch feel slightly slower.
If a single app keeps misbehaving even after this cleanup, clear that app's cache individually from its own app info page instead. If storage is critically low, deleting unused apps or large files brings more permanent relief than a cache clear alone.
