Fingerprint Shutter: Enable or Disable auf Xiaomi
Fingerprint shutter is a camera-specific option in MIUI that turns the fingerprint sensor into an extra shutter release. Once enabled, placing a finger on the sensor while the Camera app is open takes a photo, the same way pressing the on-screen shutter button does.
This differs from the phone's regular fingerprint unlock function, which stays active on the lock screen and in other apps. The camera-shutter behavior only applies while the Camera app is the active app in the foreground.
The toggle sits inside the Camera app's own settings menu, not in the system-wide Settings app. To reach it, follow this path: Open the Camera app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Enable or disable Fingerprint shutter.
Turning the option on can help when you want a stable, one-finger way to trigger a shot without moving the phone, for example when the device sits on a tripod or stand. Turning it off is useful if you keep triggering accidental photos while adjusting your grip on the phone or reaching for another control near the sensor.
There is no separate confirmation step after toggling. The change applies immediately the next time you open the Camera app.
