Location Accuracy Mode Settings auf Xiaomi
Location accuracy on a Xiaomi phone depends on which sensors and signals MIUI is allowed to use. This setting decides whether your phone relies on satellites, network data, or both to figure out where you are.
High accuracy combines GPS, WiFi and mobile networks. It gives the fastest and most precise fix, both outdoors and indoors, but uses the most battery since GPS stays active.
Battery saving skips GPS entirely and estimates your position from WiFi, Bluetooth and mobile network signals. This works well indoors and in cities, but the result is less precise and unsuitable for turn-by-turn navigation.
Device only uses GPS exclusively, without sending any data to network-based location services. It works without an internet connection and keeps your position data on the device, but the initial fix can take longer, especially indoors.
To change the mode, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Passwords & security ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Choose High accuracy, Battery saving or Device only. Pick High accuracy for navigation apps, Battery saving for general use, and Device only when you want to limit what leaves your phone.
