Change Notification Shade Shortcut auf Xiaomi
The icon in the top right of the notification shade is a shortcut, not a fixed system button. By default MIUI links it to Settings, but it can also open Search instead.
This matters if you rarely dig through system settings from the notification shade but often want to search for an app, a contact, or a file right after pulling it down. Leaving the shortcut on Settings means an extra detour every time you actually need Search.
Where to change it
Open Settings ➔ Display ➔ Notch & status bar ➔ Notification shade shortcut. There you get a simple choice between Search and Settings.
Pick Search if you want quick access to apps and files. Keep Settings if you frequently jump into system menus straight from the notification shade, for example to toggle mobile data or adjust brightness settings that are not in Quick Settings.
This setting only affects the single icon in the top right corner. Quick Settings toggles, the brightness slider, and the rest of the notification shade layout stay exactly the same.
