Add Time Stamp to Photos auf Android
Android's built-in Camera app can stamp the exact date and time onto every photo you take, but the option sits several menus deep and is easy to overlook.
The timestamp is not a hidden metadata entry. It gets printed directly onto the image, similar to old point-and-shoot cameras. That makes it useful for documentation purposes, for example insurance photos after a car accident, proof of delivery, or tracking progress on a repair or construction job over time.
To turn it on or off, open Open Camera ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Add time stamp on photos.
Once enabled, every new photo shows the stamp in a corner of the image. Photos taken before you turned the setting on stay untouched, since the stamp is baked into the picture at the moment of capture, not added afterward.
If you only need the capture date for sorting or search, skip this setting entirely. Android already stores that information as metadata for every photo, viewable through your gallery app or file manager. Turn on the visible stamp only when you actually need date and time printed on the image itself, for example before sharing a photo somewhere that strips the original metadata.
