Fix Uneven Audio Balance on Android auf Android
Android controls left/right audio output through a dedicated Accessibility function, not through the regular volume buttons. If one ear consistently gets less sound than the other, the balance slider is usually not centered anymore, even though the volume level itself is correct.
This setting exists mainly for users with uneven hearing on one side, but it also helps when a headphone cable, earbud, or built-in speaker performs weaker on one channel. Adjusting the balance compensates for that difference without touching the master volume.
Where to find the audio balance
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Audio adjustment ➔ Adjust the Audio balance. Drag the slider left or right until both channels sound even. The change applies system-wide, including calls, media playback, and notifications through wired or Bluetooth audio.
If the imbalance only happens with one specific headset, the audio balance setting is the wrong fix. Test with another pair of earbuds or headphones first, since a faulty driver or cable causes the same symptom and no software setting can repair that.
Resetting Accessibility settings, restoring factory defaults, or switching audio profiles can move the slider back to center. Check it again after a major update if the imbalance reappears.
