Camera Quick Launch: Turn On/Off auf Android
Double-pressing the power button to launch the camera is controlled by a dedicated gesture toggle inside the system settings, not by the camera app itself.
When this shortcut stops working after an update, a factory reset, or when you set up a new phone, the gesture usually got reset to its default state or switched off entirely.
The toggle sits under Settings ➔ System ➔ Gestures ➔ Quickly open camera. From there you can Enable or disable Quickly open camera.
Turning it on lets you jump into the camera from the home screen and the lock screen with two quick presses of the power button, without unlocking the phone first.
If you disable it, the same button presses fall back to whatever action is assigned elsewhere, usually nothing or the standard power menu.
This gesture is independent from other power button shortcuts, like holding the button for the assistant or the power menu, so changing one does not affect the other.
If the option is missing entirely, some phone manufacturers rename or move it, or it may not be supported on your specific device.
