Remove a Keyboard Language in Gboard auf Android
Gboard keeps every keyboard language you've ever added, even ones you switched to once and forgot about. That's why the language switcher sometimes cycles through options you never actually use.
Removing an unused language shortens that list and speeds up switching between the languages you actually type in. The option lives inside Gboard's own language menu, not the general Android keyboard settings.
To delete a keyboard language, go to Settings ➔ System ➔ Keyboard ➔ On-screen keyboard ➔ Gboard ➔ Languages. Tap Edit, select the language you want to remove, and tap Delete.
If the language you delete was set as the default, Android automatically promotes the next language in the list to that position. Autocorrect and typing suggestions switch to that language right away, so check the new default before leaving the settings.
This only removes the language from Gboard's active list. It does not uninstall a language pack from the system or affect other keyboard apps installed on the device.
