Turn Off Screen Lock auf Android
The screen lock sits under Settings ➔ Security & privacy ➔ Device unlock, where Android manages your PIN, pattern, password, and any biometric enrollment. Removing it tells the system to skip that check entirely, so the phone wakes straight to the home screen.
Because fingerprint and face data are tied to a secure lock method, Android deletes both the moment you switch Screen lock to None. You will need to re-enroll biometrics later if you decide to set a lock again.
Before the change goes through, you have to confirm your current pattern, PIN, or password. This step exists so a stranger holding an unlocked phone cannot disable the lock without knowing your credentials first.
To disable it yourself, open Settings ➔ Security & privacy ➔ Device unlock ➔ Screen lock, select None, then confirm with Delete.
Turning off the screen lock also removes notification privacy settings tied to the lock screen and disables Smart Lock, since there is nothing left to unlock. Keep the lock active if you use banking apps, store payment cards, or share the device with other people, since those features often require an active screen lock to function at all.
