Turn Wi-Fi On or Off auf Android
Wi-Fi on Android is managed by the system's network stack, which decides whether your phone talks to a router or falls back to mobile data. When the toggle seems to disappear, it usually just moved to a different screen in a recent Android update rather than being removed.
The reliable way to check and change the state is through the settings menu, not the quick panel shortcuts, which can be customized or hidden by the manufacturer. Use this path:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Network & internet ➔ Tap on Internet ➔ Enable or disable Wi-Fi
From this screen you get the full status: connected network, signal strength, and any saved networks nearby. This is also the place to fix a stuck connection, since a toggle off and back on here forces the phone to rescan for networks.
Turning Wi-Fi off here is the right move when you need to force your phone onto mobile data for testing, or when a specific network is causing repeated drops. It is the wrong move if you only wanted to disconnect from one network temporarily, since switching Wi-Fi off drops all networks, not just the current one.
One side effect worth knowing: some phones automatically re-enable Wi-Fi after a short time or when you return to a known location, depending on the connectivity settings tied to that toggle.
