No SMS in/out

Hello, I'm not able to send or receive SMS messages in Messenger. I haven't removed the app and reinstalled, and still no luck. Can you possibly tell me how to fix my issue? Thanks in advance.

    Hello psgisme. Maybe you have set up a call barring function? This not only blocks calls but also messages.

    another possibility would be an unset or wrong number of the SMSC. you can check or edit this number by entering the GSM code *#*#4636#*#*. just enter this number into the phone app and "call" it. then tap on phone information. a little further down the SMSC can be checked.
