Cannot download attchments

Question

I cannot open or download attachments such as PDFs or Word or Excel documents from my Hotmail account. I have Adobe Acrobat and Office installed on the phone.

The attachments open fine when opening Hotmail on my laptop.

The simple error message 'Download failed' appears.

Wife has exactly same problems with her Blackview R6 lite.

Hello Keithinbulgaria! Did you check if all apps have access to the memory? Maybe that's why the download is aborted. Greetings!

Hi Denny, Thanks for reply. No, I don't know how to check that. The apps were installed as normal from Google Play, with no prompts to 'access the memory'. So is there something else I have to do?

Hello again! Please enter the app settings and tap on permissions. If an app needs the permission to access the memory there will be an entry. Greets!
