Screen Won't Turn On

Bought the phone 5 days ago. Worked perfectly then suddenly stopped responding altogether. Red light comes on to indicate it is charging but the Power button doesn't appear to do anything at all. Tried holding the power button to switch off or on but nothing happens. Held the power button and the volume buttons and nothing happens. Left on charge the red light comes on but nothing happens. unplug the charger and nothing happens.
