Sim and phone storage full but nothing saved on phone

There is one message in my inbox and nothing saved anywhere else - no photos, no outbox messages, no call logs.  But I can't receive texts at it tells me my inbox is full, and it says my SIM card and phone memory are full - but there's nothing on the phone and I've deleted everything I can.  How can I sort this out?

    Hello secretsiren!

    Do you have the possibility to check the SIM card in another phone?

    This should show you whether the error is in the SIM or the phone.

    Hiya.  I don't have any other phones to check it with, I'm afraid.  The storage says the SIM and phone are both 100% full but there is no way they can be as I have deleted literally everything except phone numbers.

    If your phone numbers are all stored on the SIM card, you could try resetting the device to factory defaults, but unfortunately
    I don't have a similar device here, so I can't tell you which steps to follow.
