Hello Buck,

could you please clarify which kind of message you mean exactly? 

If you mean an answer to a SMS message, you can easily delete the draft by opening it and deleting the text whitin. 

If you started a new conversation via SMS and you tapped back instead of sending it, you can delete the whole conversation by tapping and holding the conversation and then tapping on the bin symbol.
