Power Saving Mode: Enable or Disable
If your Huawei phone suddenly delays downloads or holds back new emails, Power Saving mode is probably running in the background. It throttles background activity on purpose to stretch battery life until you can recharge, which can make notifications and app updates feel slower than usual.
Show Battery Percentage
If your status bar only shows a plain battery icon with no numbers, you are left guessing how much charge your Huawei phone has left. EMUI hides the exact battery percentage by default and only displays a rough fill level. Turning this option on replaces the guesswork with a precise readout right in the status bar.
Enable or Disable Ultra Power Saving Mode
When your Huawei phone switches into a stripped-down home screen with only a handful of apps, Ultra Power Saving mode is likely active. This function shuts down background processes and blocks most apps to stretch the remaining battery as far as possible. If you did not turn it on yourself, a low-battery trigger or an accidental tap in the quick start bar is usually the cause.

If a Huawei phone drains its battery fast or apps get killed in the background without warning, EMUI's battery management is usually behind it. The battery optimization list decides whether an app can keep running, finish scheduled tasks, or push notifications while you are not actively using it. Get the setting wrong and you either lose messages or watch the battery empty by the afternoon.

If your Huawei phone drains battery faster or feels warmer than usual during heavy tasks, Performance mode might be switched on. This setting pushes the hardware to run at maximum output, which trades battery life and heat for extra speed. Turning it off restores the standard power balance.
