Badge display mode
If you receive a notification on your Huawei smartphone, you will also be notified by a notification point. A small red dot is shown above the app, which should draw our attention to a new note. You have the choice of displaying a red dot or numbers.
Note: You can activate / deactivate this information individually for each app.

- Open the settings
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on App icon badges
- Tap on Badge display mode
- Choose between Numbers or Dots
Show notification dots
You can (de-) activate the notification points or numbers for each individual or for all apps on your Huawei smartphone.

- Open the settings
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on More notification settings
- Activate or deactivate notification dots for one or more apps
App Lock
You can add an additional lock to apps on the Huawei smartphone to make access even more secure. In doing so, you can decide which locking method is selected for apps, either the unlock password or a user-defined PIN.

- Open the settings
- Tap on Security
- Tap on App Lock
- Tap on Enable and follow the instructions on the screen
Add an app shortcut to home screen
After enabling the App-Drawer as the home screen style on the Huawei smartphone, downloaded apps are not stored directly on the home screen but in the mentioned app drawer.
Manually, we can add an app shortcut to the desired home screen, though.

- Swipe upwards to open the app-drawer
- Tap and hold an app
- Drag the app upwards
- Release the app to position a shortcut on home screen
Remove app shortcut from home screen
While using the App Drawer as a home screen style, app shortcuts can be added and removed at any time.
Note: Only the shortcut is removed. The app and its data remain installed on the Huawei smartphone.

- Tap and hold an app
- Tap on Remove
