Enable or Disable Arrow Keys auf Huawei
Huawei phones running EMUI use the SwiftKey Keyboard by default, and this keyboard ships with arrow keys turned off. The idea is to keep the keyboard layout compact, but it makes precise cursor placement harder, especially when editing longer texts or code snippets.
The toggle for this feature sits inside the keyboard's own typing settings, not in the general system keyboard menu. Once enabled, a thin row with left and right arrow keys appears directly below the main keyboard whenever you type.
To turn the arrow keys on or off, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on Language & input ➔ Tap on SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Tap on Typing ➔ Tap on Keys ➔ Activate or deactivate Arrow keys.
Keep in mind that the arrow keys take up a small amount of vertical space, which slightly reduces the visible area above the keyboard on smaller screens. If you switch to a different keyboard app later, this setting will not carry over, since it only applies to SwiftKey Keyboard.
