Enable or Disable Autocorrect auf Huawei
Autocorrect on Huawei phones runs through the SwiftKey keyboard. It compares what you type against a dictionary and swaps in the word it thinks you meant, showing the replacement in the middle of the suggestion bar just above the keys.
Most of the time this speeds up typing, but the feature reacts to speed and typing patterns, not context. Names, slang, abbreviations, or words in a second language get rewritten even though they were correct from the start.
If wrong swaps keep showing up in chats or notes, you can turn the feature off entirely, or leave it on and just watch the suggestion bar more closely before sending. To change the setting, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on Language & input ➔ Tap on SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Tap on Typing ➔ Tap on Typing & autocorrect ➔ Activate or deactivate Autocorrect.
Turning autocorrect off does not disable spell-check underlines or word suggestions, it only stops the keyboard from replacing words automatically while you type.
