Back Up to Google Drive auf Huawei
Huawei phones running EMUI store contacts, photos, calendar entries, and app data locally unless a cloud backup is switched on. The Back up to Google option in system settings mirrors this data to your Google Drive account, so a factory reset, device swap, or accidental deletion does not wipe everything permanently.
To turn it on, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & input ➔ Tap on Backup & restore ➔ Tap on Back up to Google ➔ Activate or deactivate Back up to Google.
Once activated, pick which Google account should receive the backup. EMUI usually syncs data while the phone is charging, connected to Wi-Fi, and idle, so the first full backup can take a while depending on how many photos and how much app data need to be uploaded.
If several Google accounts are signed in, check the selected backup account before relying on it. Switching accounts later does not merge previous backups automatically.
Google Drive backup works well for contacts, settings, and supported app data, but it does not always cover media stored only on an SD card. For large photo or video libraries, a manual backup to a computer is usually faster and more reliable.
